Open Burning Regulations
All types of open burning (except for small cooking
fires) require permission from the Fire Department. When permission
is granted, the fire must be in a clear area, well away from trees,
tall grasses, or anything else that could catch fire, and must be
attended at all times until it is completely out.
Cooking fires must be no larger that two feet by two feet, contained
in a stone, brick, or block enclosure, or a barrel or pit, and at
least 50 feet from a dwelling.
Copies of the open burning regulation are available
at the Administration Building Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. |
